Blue, Chance & SkyWalker
IN MERMORY....
SkyWalker
This little girl was brought to me at my work (SPCA/Animal Shelter) by a man who though he could care for her but couldn't. She had a through and through bullet wound, and it went right through the joint of the wing (As one can see from the picture~pinky area). SkyWalker has trouble flying but still gets around, just like Keys. She still has a lot of rehabing to do because her strength is still not up and she does get picked on because of it, so I moved her to her own cage. Very sweet and well mannered bird.

Blue
I found Blue tangled in fishing wire in my back yard. There were wounds all over his body, but mainly to his left leg.   The wire cut deep into the leg and today he has a little trouble walking, but oddly you can't see the scaring too much from the wound. I did try to release him but he kept on sitting at the door to my avairy and when I opened to door he would just walk right in, eat, drink, and purch on his favorite purch. I have tried to release him several more times but he kept on doing the same thing; when feral cats started to hang around I decided to just keep him in the avairy.

Blue became sick and soon pasted away on July.2, 2006.   He will be VERY missed!
Chance
I found Chance stumbling around my yard when I got home from a walk. When I caught him I noticed he was missing an eye and had two large puncture wounds on his sides just below the rib cage. The holes were 1cm in diamiter and were about 1cm deep. As for the eye, there was a large gash running from the top of his head into the eye socket and then curled out to the side. It took a LONG time for the wounds to heal because they had to be kept open so it could heal from the inside out. It also took about 2-3 days to clean out the wound because it had feathers in them so compacked in I had to soak it and take one feather out at a time. I think a large dog got him.
