Brown Sugar
Brown Sugar was brought to me at work by a nice and caring man. When I looked at him I knew right away that he was a homing/racing pigeon. He had a single bullet wound to the right side of his chest. I took down the bird's ID Band number and made a call to a local pigeon racer to see if it was his bird. It turned out to be his and he said he didn't want the bird because he wouldn't be able to fly (or race). So I took the bird home, took him to the vet to get him on antibiotics and hopefully get the bullet taken out (which it never did get removed cause we couldn't find it). After a long recovery peroid he was able to fly again and started to get his spunk back. B.S. racing days are now over. But he will live out the rest of his day in his glory of being a big, very beautiful bird, and an EX racer.
